The Paricutin Volcano, considered one of the Seven Wonders of the Natural World, erupted in 1952. It destroyed everything in it’s path except for the church of San Juan Parangaricutiro. An eerie place to be as you can still see the hardened lava flows that come right up to the edge of the church and suddenly stop.
